Six months after the creators of Swansea-based MonsterCommerce sold their company in effort to help it continue to grow, they're seeing the payoff.

The company's payroll has more than doubled from 100 to 206 people since it was acquired in December by Network Solutions of Herndon, Va., spokesman Julie Birlew said.

"We're expecting to be up to 280 people by the end of this year," Birlew added.

Real Estate Broker Wayne Barber of the Barber-Murphy Group said MonsterCommerce has leased more than 17,000 square feet of space in two buildings adjacent to its 8 Park Place headquarters.

Stephanie Leffler co-founded MonsterCommerce with partner Ryan Noble in 1998. The company makes software that helps merchants sell things on their Web sites.
