The online case access feature was initially added to the Houston County District Attorney's Office Web site to reduce clerical time spent answering questions about case status, Houston County DA Kelly Burke said.

"It's beneficial to the public because they don't have to deal with office hours, and anyone can see the status of a case without making a telephone call," Burke said.
